Review - '127 HOURS'

Directed by Danny Boyle(Slumdog millionaire) with James Franco in the lead, the movie is about a mountain climber who gets trapped between the deep cracks of the UTAH CANYON after a boulder crashes on his arm. The struggle, the trauma and the emotional delusions make up the rest of the movie. The treacherous moments last for 5 long days until he decides to detach his own arm that is stuck between the rocks. Though 75% of this movie is shot between the crooked depths of the CANYON, you never feel stuck at any point of this movie. The biggest strength of this movie is the BG Score of our own A.R.Rahman. The music is simply mesmerizing. James Franco takes all the credits as an actor and has given all that he can for the role of Aron Ralston, a real life mountain climber whose story has been depicted in this movie. Overall its a very excellent movie, that you will remember for a long time.

Review: Avatar

Avatar: James Cameron

Definitely a favorite movie for millions of people all around the globe because of the grandeur and the memorable journey into the world of Pandora. This movie can be regarded as one of the best Sci-Fi movies of all time for its distinct storyline and elusive narration. But I personally consider this more as a romantic movie than as a fantasy or a SCI-FI. Also, the magnanimousness and the emotional bondage the native homonoid "Na'vi" of pandora has towards their mother nature is something we, the inmates of Earth, should ponder considering the ongoing events and factors endangering mankind like global warming and ozone depletion. Everything in this movie, right from the cast to the micro mini details is picture perfect. Other than these, the movie 'Avatar' is a wonderful experience one should have in his life. I would strongly recommend this movie for the generations of tomorrow.

Review : The Green Mile

The Green mile: Frank Darabont

This Stephen king novel turned movie is one of my all time favorite as it carry along the true flavor of the novel. The cast for the movie is very brilliantly formulated, especially those of John Coffey, Brutus 'Brutal' Howell, Eduard Delacroix played by Michael Clarke Duncan, David Morse, Michael Jeter respectively. Tom hanks(Paul Edgecomb) has done justice to his role as a guard on death row leading up to the execution of a black man(John coffey) accused of child murder & rape, who has the power of faith healing. Also, the performance of Doug Hutchison(Percy Wetmore) wins the acclaims of those audience who has read the novel earlier, as he portrays the character exactly the same manner you will visualize while reading. On a whole, 'The green mile' one of the masterpiece of Stephen king that is neatly crafted for the screens is a must watch for people of all ages and tastes.
